Thank you to the collectors of this oil.

About this oil:
This is a composition that really got my attention but prior to making a start, I had to decide on how to make that entirely green world interesting. That color is the bane of a lot of landscape painters and over the years many of my fellow artists and myself have many scars and bruises from losing encounters with greens on the canvas.

Every part of this oil has gone through numerous changes, mostly chromatic, to find the what would be musically called the right chord. If this were a musical process then you would have heard a number of atonal instruments clashing and that strangest of sounds when the xylophone fell over.

After weeks and numerous studio sessions, it was very exciting to watch everything come together as if it were alive in that last hour, one color layering on another to make a vibrant landscape that contains every green in the paint box!
