Landscape patterns inspire me, providing an opportunity to infuse those shapes with arbitrary colors. In this oil painting, blues and aquas create a softly glowing backdrop that frames the creek.

Throughout the painting process, I meticulously balanced colors and patterns, enhancing both as the work progressed. Every detail involved subtle adjustments, utilizing color and contrast to ensure each section of the painting remains engaging.

This oil started out considerably darker, but with each session I introduced more light to achieve a luminous effect. The glowing sky and creek beautifully complement the blues and the line of aqua at the top unifies the composition.
