About this pastel:

This piece was begun as an interesting line of trees in various colors, trending to fall and in a subtle fashion. While laying this out, I noticed that the addition of blues magnified the foliage in the trees, lighting up everything it touched.

My original plan went out the window and I fell into the thrill of brighter colors. More power was created with the darker trees in the back and the gleaming yellow-green field in the foreground.

Some very nice oils emerged from this luminous pastel idea.
