My thanks to the collectors and designer that selected this oil to purchase.

This oil was started a few months back and was just completed in my new studio today. This is not the first time I have painted this favorite scene at the edge of the lake, the last one being completed years ago. But for whatever the reason, I felt compelled to do another version with more muted tones and colors.

The light is important and it drives the composition. Here it is represented softly and with a bit of haze that seems to follow the light itself. I didn't set out to make it that way, but as the painting evolved, I eventually found myself in this calming, eternal scene that I can pass onto you.
